2008

The original Ecocampor

Ecocampor founder Raymond Wu was born in 1965, in Huangshi City – a small town in Hubei. He grew up and studied hard in a poor village, where he lived in a wooden house. But the people in the village were all very friendly. Each night all the villagers will gathered together for dinner in the square of the village. This outdoor activity influenced Raymond througout his happy childhood, which later inspired his first outdoor RV.

2008

A pretty good business to get into

After working to support himself through college and graduating from the Hubei University Of Economics in 1989, Raymond built a factory and majored in metal fabrication. He and his family went outdoor camping regularly, but his kids never enjoyed sleeping on the ground in a tent. “Why can’t I build an RV in my factory?” Raymond thought. So in 2008, Raymond built an RV team and successfully developed his first RV. When he began posting on the internet, it caught the eye of so many other customers that Raymond decided it might be “A pretty good business to get into.” Good thing he did.

2009

From hobby to business

After building the first RV, Ecocampor developed a specially designed off-road chassis, and OEM off-road camper trailer for Australia, and the US. Raymond rented a building and opened a small RV factory in Foshan City, China. This was Ecocampor’s first RV factory.

Camper R&D Team build

We remain committed to upholding this high standard of excellence in research and development, working tirelessly day in and day out. As we move forward, this commitment will continue. All of our staff is committed to achieving the highest standard available in this great industry.

Factory expansion

The factory has expanded from the first floor to seven floors, and each floor is responsible for producing or developing different products. Some floors are responsible for the research and development of the RV, and others are responsible for the production of trailer accessories. Each floor has a clear division of labor and the production efficiency is very high.

The first camper trailer

Through the continuous efforts of the R&D and production departments, our factory is able to seamlessly complete the process from research and development to production and final assembly. The quality trailers produced exemplify the complete production chain.

Expanding The Product Line

Thanks to the continuous efforts of Raymond and his team, Ecocampor is able to produce a diverse range of products, including RVs, truck campers, toy haulers, off-road trailers, and more. Next we successfully developed the first Ecocampor off-road toy hauler and a two-row, off-road independent suspension system.

Camper Patents

With the launch of over 10 types of camper travel trailers and caravans, which have also been the subject of more than 10 patents, Ecocampor has become one of the most competitive campanies in Guangdong, China.

From small business to big business

Our team is contiuously working to determine how to add even more amenities into a smaller space for the benefit of end-users. The invaluable feedback received from dealers and users is playing a vital role in the development of our campers and RVs, driving us towards becoming one of the largest off-road RV brand names in China.

Merger and acquisition of a US camper company MANLEYORV

Manley ORV, a popular American camper company, has created a range of military-inspired mini campers that are American-designed to overcome the storage challenges small to medium SUV/4X4 owners face when gearing up for their next adventure.

2017

The total sales volume exceeds 20,000

Within just two years, Ecocampor has gained widespread recognition and achieved a remarkable sales volume of 20,000. In addition, we successfully developed the first Ecocampor off-road hybrid caravan.

Workforce exceeds 600 employee

Our team grew to the largest in the company’s history with nearly 600 employees.
20% of our employees have been working with us for over a decade.

2019

A new headquarters

In 2019, we broke ground on our first new plant in more than 11 years. Our new 60, 000 square-meter headquarters will stay right here in Foshan, China. The new facilities will give us more space, more tools, and more storage, prioritizing the quality and craftsmanship we’re known for. Moreover, it’ll create jobs and boost the economy in our community we know and love.
